The richness of reality

August 24, 2010

There isn’t a single word which accurately expresses the richness of our experience of reality. When we feel a sense of awe at the scales ( massively big and immeasurably  small and everything in between) of the Universe, and the incredible diversity of, and the interconnectedness within, what we call Realty, we use the most vague terms available, such as God, Spirit, Source, etc. We use these terms to convey these most abstract of concepts because there are not more specific terms which convey accurately. However, vague terms have different meanings (evoke different memories, feelings, and thoughts) to different people.

This leaves us with, or perhaps in, a linguistic trap.

The use of precise language with which to convey these vaguest of concpets, conveys meanings which are off target and inaccurate. However, the use of vague terms leaves us with very different internal representations of these concepts, without us necessarily realizing we are not in agreement.

There is no right or wrong in this. It is just one of the the many apparent contradictions we perceive as we experience reality.

It just is.
